Edel's father decided to acquire the château in 2009. This decision was nothing short of visionary, but came with challenges. When the château became part of the family, it was in a state of disrepair that reflected its long history. Edel's adventure with the château began with a bold and innovative idea: renting it out in order to generate income for the urgently needed renovation. After years of successfully pursuing this goal, he made a crucial decision in 2023: he bought the château from his father. This marked an important turning point, allowing Edel to devote himself fully to his ambitious renovation project without hesitation, ensuring that the château's legacy continues to thrive.

As a sincere tribute to his father, Guillaume, Edel made the touching decision to name the château "Château Guillermo." This name change stands as a lasting tribute to his father's memory, and ensures that Guillaume's name will forever be linked to the château's rich history.

Together with his wife, Nathalie, and their three children, they now regard this château as more than just property; it has become a cherished part of their lives. Together they have embarked on an endless life project and welcome guests to share in the château's rich history and create their own treasured memories within its walls.
